Originally from Long Beach, Mississippi, I moved to Mobile, Alabama in pursuit of an education in the healthcare field. During my time at the University of South Alabama, I participated in numerous clubs and organizations. I am still an active member of Kappa Delta Sorority, Phi Eta Sigma Honors Fraternity and the Society of Collegiate Scholars.
After graduating with my Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2011, I worked at Springhill Medical Center and Mobile Infirmary Health Systems. I specialize in the areas of pediatrics, post-partum, telemetry and medical-surgical.
The decision to attain a higher level of education came as an easy one. but I was missing something. I wanted to diagnose and treat. Becoming a Nurse Practitioner would allow me to do all that I was doing as a Registered Nurse but it would also allow me to think critically, perform more invasive procedures, prescribe and follow my patients on a more personal level.
I obtained my Master of Nursing — Primary Care Nurse Practitioner — degree from Auburn University in 2014. I am board-certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
I look forward to meeting you at Emerald Sands Medical Center!
